SEWING AND FASHION WORKSHOPS

SEWING AND FASHION WORKSHOPS

STUDIO BIAS CUT is the name of the little sewingschool Dorrith founded in 2011. Named after a technique invented about 100 years ago by fashion designer Madeleine Vionnet, in which the fabric was cut diagonally for a particularly beautiful drape. Contrarian and in a unique way with beautiful results. That is very briefly and concisely how Dorrith likes to shape her lessons and own collections. Not the regular way, but a little different and with a beautiful elaboration. Since September 2021 she has been teaching from a brand new classroom in a former energy factory in The Hague, what she and her sister Marlous called DE MODE CENTRALE. The lessons and workshops are suitable for beginners and advanced students, children and adults. During the regular sewing lessons, everyone can work individually on his or her own project, at his or her level. All lessons can be taken in both English and Dutch.
