ROUGE

2009

Immediately after finishing Etoiles, a collections of the best toiles they had at the time Dorrith and sister Marlous were asked to participate in a fashionshow in the centre of The Hague, the sisters were invited to exhibit their proces and work in the shopwindow of one of the most splendour warehouses in The Netherlands, the Bijenkorf. This project included a live project of 4 days working on a new outfit in the shopwindow. They moved the studio to a small place of 2 square meters and started sewing. Dorrith and Marlous choose one of their favourite outfits from the Etoiles collection, and added the right colour and material. They choose the colour rouge (a mix of red and pink, a colour we both like and is linked to our name) and made a bag in leather, a coat in cotton and a dress in strechy crepe. The fifth day we invited a model, a make-up artist and a photographer to do a photoshoot of the new outfit, in and around the shopwindow of the Bijenkorf.
